Therapeutic Riding Volunteers
Did you know, at PRDA over 200 shifts are covered by volunteers every week?! Volunteers who serve in our Equine-Assisted Therapy Services have the opportunity to assist with side-walking, leading the horses, grooming and tacking, as well as assisting with mounting and dismounting riders. Volunteer shifts are available 6 days a week and all necessary training is provided.

If you are a student and are interested in an internship or co-op experience, we would love to hear from you! Come learn in a hands on, inclusive environment supported by staff mentors with a diverse breadth and depth of experience.
PRDA regularly works with Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Douglas College, Langara College, Trinity Western University, Simon Fraser University, and Brookswood High School. Students come to PRDA for further exploration in areas such as teaching, recreational therapy, farm management, non-profit organizational leadership, event management, marketing & communications, and so much more!
